02 / OUR VISION
A tradition with a future.
To grow Punjab Sweets as a trusted home for Punjabi flavours, where each new generation feels connected to its roots and every community we serve experiences the same care, quality and welcome.
THE STORY WE CARRY
His recipes. Our responsibility.
Our family traces the beginning of Punjab Sweets to 1803, when our great-great-grandfather, Khasita Singh, opened a small sweet shop in Lahore, in the area known today as Lakshmi Chowk.
What we cherish about that beginning is more than a name or a date. It is the thought of something small becoming part of a family’s identity: recipes worth remembering, work worth caring about, and food that gives people a reason to come together.
Our roots reach back to the era of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, remembered as Sher-e-Punjab—the Lion of Punjab. In our family’s account, 1823 marks twenty years since that first beginning. We remember that chapter as part of the heritage entrusted to us.
Generations later, those recipes and values still give meaning to Punjab Sweets. A family recipe is never only a list of ingredients. It is something you learn to care for, something you pass on, and something that can make a place far from Punjab feel a little more like home.
Today in Truganina, we welcome families to share vegetarian Punjabi food and mithai made with desi ghee. Whether it is a familiar meal, good news celebrated with sweets, or a wedding that gathers loved ones around one table, we want the food to become part of a memory worth keeping.
His recipes gave us our flavours. His values gave us a way to carry them forward.

OUR TRUGANINA HOME
A place to gather. A taste to remember.
Our shop design brings Punjabi hospitality into a warm, welcoming space in Truganina. A place imagined for sharing vegetarian favourites, choosing desi ghee mithai and making everyday moments a little sweeter.
All our mithai is made with desi ghee. For us, preserving a recipe means respecting the ingredients and giving every batch the attention it deserves. The sweetness is only part of what we hope you take home.
Carry the recipes and values of Khasita Singh forward with care.
